A beautiful climber that is smothered in large fuscia to lilac-purple flowers in early summer with repeat bloom throughout the season. The flowers are unbelievably large and prominent. Kilian Donahue Clematis features showy fuchsia star-shaped flowers with white eyes and white edges at the ends of the branches from early to late summer. It has green foliage throughout the season. Kilian Donahue Clematis will grow to be about 10 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 24 inches. This woody vine should only be grown in full sunlight. It does best in average to evenly moist conditions, but will not tolerate standing water.
