The Great Horned Owl is one of Dalen's all-time best sellers and features a head that can be turned from side to side like a real owl. Changing the owl's head position every few days increases effectiveness. For gardens, berry bushes, and grapevines: mount Owl on top of a tall pole and drive the pole firmly into the ground (Owl must be positioned vertically for the head to move properly). For rooftops and ledges: secure the Owl by tying it in place or by weighting it heavily. The owl can be filled with sand or gravel for added stability (use the enclosed stopper). Place the Owl before the fruit ripens and feeding habits develop. Place the Owl in a prominent place so birds can see it. For added effectiveness, move Owl around the garden every few days.
