Fireglow Japanese Maple is primarily valued in the landscape or garden for its ornamental globe-shaped form. It has attractive red deciduous foliage which emerges burgundy in spring. The small lobed palmate leaves are highly ornamental and turn outstanding shades of purple, scarlet and crimson in the fall.

Named for its luminescent purple-scarlet to crimson red fall colours, this selection is similar to the popular 'Bloodgood' but smaller in stature and with deeper red foliage persisting through summer. Vigorous and quite sun-tolerant, with a slow growing, upright habit. Outstanding garden or container accent specimen.
