Leucothoe fontanesiana 'Rainbow' (Dog Hobble) is a multi-stemmed, evergreen shrub prized for its gracefully arching red stems clad with glossy, lance-shaped leaves, 4 in. long (10 cm), marbled cream and pink. Highly ornamental, the lush foliage turns an outstanding burgundy in the fall. In spring, drooping clusters of white flowers appear below the branches.
