As its name suggests, Marsh Marigold prefers life on the marshy side. It is perfect for planting and growing in sunny to partially shaded garden areas where the soil tends to stay mucky and wet, or even in shallow standing water or the margins of the garden pond. It forms a dense mound of attractive, glossy, heart-shaped, dark green leaves with wavy edges. From early spring through early summer, cute and abundant 1" cup-shaped, buttercup-like flowers with nine waxy, bright yellow sepals (petals) surrounding a cluster of bright golden-yellow stamens sit just above the foliage.
