A living sculpture in the landscape, Pinus Stobus 'Pendula' (Eastern White Pine) is an evergreen conifer with long, gracefully weeping branches spilling across the ground and forming a creeping ground cover. Its foliage of long, soft blue-green needles, borne in groups of five, is quite abundant. This conifer needs to be trained to develop a central trunk, otherwise it forms a sprawling shrub.
